Choose a chain by link style, width, length, and intended use. Figaro, cable, box, curb, rope, and other links differ in texture, flexibility, and visual weight. A millimeter width is the most useful comparison for presence, while the finished length determines where the chain rests. If the chain will carry a pendant, compare its width and end-piece dimensions with the pendant bail instead of assuming every combination will fit.
